EYEBROW: OUR STORY HEADING: Growing for Generations SUBHEAD: For nearly 50 years, our family has had the privilege of growing alongside Northern BC. NARRATIVE 1: What began as a family-run garden centre has grown into something much more - a place where generations come together, knowledge is shared, and a love of gardening is passed from one person to the next. NARRATIVE 2: Growing for Generations is at the heart of everything we do. NARRATIVE 3: It means sharing the gardening knowledge we've gained over the years so others can experience the joy of growing. It means helping a first-time gardener plant their very first seed, just as much as helping a lifelong gardener create something new. NARRATIVE 4: It means knowing our customers, being part of our community, and creating a place where people can connect - with plants, with nature, and with each other. NARRATIVE 5: And most importantly, it means looking ahead. We want the next generation to experience the same excitement of planting a seed, watching it grow, getting their hands dirty, and discovering where their food and flowers come from. NARRATIVE 6: After nearly 50 years, we're proud of where we've come from - but we're even more excited about what we can continue to grow together. TAGLINE: Family grown. Locally rooted. Growing for generations. WHO EYEBROW: SINCE THE 1930s WHO HEADING: Who is Art Knapp? WHO TEXT: It's a question staff and customers still ask. Art Knapp got his start selling fruit, vegetables, and nursery stock from a small shop on Fort Street in Victoria back in the 1930s. His knack for customer service outgrew the store fast - so he bought a truck and trailer and started selling "auction style," eventually expanding into the Lower Mainland and adding Christmas toy sales along the way.
